Nuts and Bolts: If Attacked, Americans want Giuliani, not Clinton

When it boils down to the basic elements, an attack on America, for instance, Americans would prefer to have Giuliani in the White House.

If one trusts him with one's life, surely one could trust him on taxes and education, right?

Sometimes us political junkies over think things when it is exceedingly simple.

Terrorist attack - Giuliani is the next president.

No attack (and assuming Iraq doesn't blossom into Jefferson's dream before nov) - Hillary is the next president.

"If one trusts him with one's life, surely one could trust him on taxes and education, right?"

Kinda-sorta. The answer is yes but the presidential race is decided by electoral votes, and the map is blue. He will not motivate social conservatives in sufficient numbers to offset gains Hillary will have over John F-ing Kerry (LA, AR, OH, FL). On the flip side Rudy will not take away any blue states with the exception of maybe NJ. I thought he would compete in PA but the polls show a different story.
